Dr. Ernest was born in Lutcher, Louisiana. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Centenary College of Louisiana where she received a Bachelor of Science, Biochemistry. She earned her PhD in Neurobiology and Doctor of Medicine degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. After completing a three-year Pediatric Residency program at Vanderbilt University and Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, Dr. Ernest joined Southeast Alabama Rural Health Associates (SARHA), Troy in 2012.
