So is this another good idea ?
Hi, there my friends,
One of our friends suggested we need a substack channel for physicians who want to lead or start a medical practice. I’m so conflicted between the social media, podcast, newsletter, and CEO coaching class, I have no band left.
However, it does seem that in pediatrics the number one growth area is not Private Equity or Hospital owned practices. It is early career physicians, primarily women who are tired of a system that focuses on wRVU and profit first and fore. When most physicians want to make a difference, excel at their clinical skills and make enough margins to continue keeping the lights on.
I’m a big believer in common sense, free markets, competition, and innovation. I honestly believe this brings about the best quality and choice for the customer. However, the days of a small business that was part of the fabric of the community and did not have to worry about credit cards, google my business, IT security, and online reviews are gone.
So does that means that we all need to be employed by Walmart or CVS? I don’t think so. I do think you must think like a generation z and build community. There are many ways to build a community such as :
Master Mind Groups
In-Person Meetings
Coaching Groups
Happy Hours
Reading Books
Visiting your peers
Getting Additional Education such as CPE or MBA
Going outside of medicine to see how others have conquered the space
So I thought that we give it a go and add this channel to our CEO Coaching Group and podcast. It will not replace the power of an in-person meeting or the power of a group of like-minded executives sharing best practices.
I look forward to getting to know more of you and collaborating.
